Centrelink recognised that the Department needed to re-evaluate its pre-existing recruitment strategy and develop a communications campaign to attract graduate talent for disciplines such as accounting, commerce, communication, psychology and law.
In order to position Centrelink as a “top-choice” employer among graduates and increase the number of applicants, CouchCreative developed a comprehensive communications campaign positioning Centrelink as a fun and progressive career choice.

The campaign tailored specifically towards Generation Y led to a significant increase of 450% in completed applications, from under 300 in 2005 to over 1,400 in 2006 and then to a record 2,400 applicants in 2007.
